Choose M500 for everyday gear and loads such as a dirt bike when your securement setup is within the strap’s rating.

Between M500 and HD750?
If your regular loads are camping gear, kayaks, or flat furniture, start with M500. If you also haul sport bikes, medium ATVs, or larger upright items, compare HD750’s wider webbing and higher working load.
Between HD750 and PRO?
If you haul vehicles, side-by-sides, farm equipment, or heavy touring bikes, start with PRO. It adds 25 ft of reach and a ratchet mechanism. For unusually heavy appliances, compare PRO too.

Compare working load first. Breaking strength is a different rating and is not the allowable working load.

Match the entire setup to the load. A strap’s working-load rating is not a maximum vehicle weight, and pack size is not a recommendation for the number of tie-downs your load needs. Follow the strap, cargo, vehicle, and anchor-point instructions.

Cargo can settle during transport. TorkStrap’s spring-loaded design helps maintain tension as the load shifts. M500 and HD750 use a pull-to-tighten design; PRO combines spring tension with a ratchet for higher-capacity hauling.

Which TorkStrap should I buy for a motorcycle?

Which model is best for a kayak or camping gear?
M500 is the everyday starting point for kayaks, mountain bikes, coolers, and camp gear. Follow the kayak or rack manufacturer’s instructions and avoid excessive tension on fragile cargo. Explore the kayak strap guide.
What is the difference between working load and breaking strength?
Safe working load is the operating rating to use when selecting a strap. Breaking strength is the stated failure-strength rating, not a usable cargo limit. For example, M500 has a 500 lb safe working load and a 1,500 lb breaking strength.
Do I need 14, 20, 24, or 25 feet?
Measure the path from one attachment point to the other, including the route around or over your cargo and the length needed to tighten correctly. M500 and HD750 are 14 ft standard; optional extension ends provide 20 ft for M500 or 24 ft for HD750. PRO is 25 ft standard. Extension ends are separate accessories unless your chosen bundle states otherwise.
How many straps should I buy?
The model guide helps select the type of strap; the required quantity depends on your cargo and securement arrangement. Follow the applicable manufacturer instructions for the number and placement of tie-downs. Product pages let you choose your pack size and show current pricing and availability.
What if my load fits more than one model?
Choose around the most demanding load you regularly haul, while considering fragile surfaces and appropriate tension. If you are between models, contact TorkStrap with your cargo, its weight, your vehicle or trailer, attachment points, and required strap length.
