Rail system: Identify the model, horizontal or vertical configuration, and intended wall or floor location. Do not assume E-track and L-track fittings are interchangeable.
Connection geometry: Check hook opening, ring dimensions, seating, and clearance. The hook must engage as intended without being forced against adjacent hardware.
Strap suitability: Confirm width, usable length, tensioning method, and cargo contact. Account for pressure-sensitive surfaces, edge contact, and contamination exposure.
Fitting operation: Understand engagement and release instructions. A snap or click alone does not prove a suitable, rated connection.
